Green Council carried out their summer litter pick in Wigton Moor Woods
Year 1 had a great day at Lotherton Hall looking at the different birds and learning about animal classification.
Year 6 have started to make their mechanical fairground rides in Design & Technology. They have learnt how to use a saw to make an A-frame and have started designing their product.
Year 6 had a visit from HMRC - we learnt all about tax, why paying tax is important and how taxpayers money is spent!
Year 6 learning about how light travels and making periscopes in Science.

In DT Year 1 made jam sandwiches, they then enjoyed eating them!
KS2 Author Visit - KS2 had the pleasure of a visit from Maria Motúnráyọ̀ Adébísí, author of 'Koku Akanabi and the heart of midnight'. The children learned all about the fantastic characters and tribes in the book, and listened to a reading of the first chapter.
UKS2 Inter Primary Sports Day 2024
Along with another 6 schools from the local area, we were invited to take part in an inter primary sports day organised by Allerton Grange School. A team of 4 girls and 4 boys from both year 5 and 6 took part in a range of athletics events, and we were very pleased to be awarded Bronze position in all categories - Year 5 team, Year 6 team and also overall school performance! Well done to everyone who took part!
