Pupil wellbeing is of paramount importance at Wigton Moor. We support wellbeing and foster resilience in many different ways, through Assemblies, the PSHE and RSE curriculum, the 4Cs, British Values and the three different pupil councils.
We use the Zones of Regulation in class so that children can understand their feelings. See the link below for more information and a copy of the Zones of Regulation poster that we use in school.
When children and families need additional support we can provide guidance and advice. We are fortunate to have access to pupil counsellors, play therapists and family support workers through the ARM (Alwoodley, Roundhay, Moortown) Cluster. We can also lead Early Help Plans to provide a formal structure to help you and your child.
We now have access to our own Mindmate Support Team who can help and advise on a range of mental health needs, including providing Parent-led CBT where needed. See the link below for more information.
Please contact Caroline Lee for further information, either by calling the school number 0113 268 2341 or emailing caroline.lee@wigtonmoor.leeds.sch.uk
