We are really excited to be changing our school lunches onto a banding system from September 2017. Please click on the link below to see the menu choices which allows parents to discuss the menu with their child and choose their daily meal. To complement these choices there is always a salad bar available and hot / cold puddings. The meals are cooked on site by Leeds Catering.
If your child wishes to change any of their banding choices or change from school meals to a packed lunch or vice versa , they may do so at the beginning of each half term. You must notify the school office before the end of the half term. Meals are then ordered for the rest of that half term, so we ask you to stay on packed lunches or school meals until the following half term. Payment for school meals is required in advance.
Since September 2014 the government has funded all schools in England to provide every child in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 with a hot, nutritious meal at lunch time. The aim is to improve academic attainment and save families money.
Dinner money for this half term for KS2 is:
£12 per week
£2.40 per day
The total price for the half term is £69.60 to cover meals from 25th February to 3rd April 2020.
Payment for school dinners needs to be paid via the SchoolComms app.
Please note that we no longer accept cash or cheque payments. If you are unable to pay via the app please contact the school office.
See below links for the Allergen and Food Standards information.
Due to the high number of children in the school with severe nut allergies, we are taking the precaution of banning all nuts and food items containing nuts from the school site.
We already operate a nut free kitchen but to ensure the safety of all children throughout the whole of the school day this is now to be extended to packed lunches and snacks.
Please check the contents of packaged foods you provide to your children in their packed lunches as they may contain nuts eg Nutella, some muesli bars, cakes and biscuits.
FREE SCHOOL MEALS
It is vital that all parents and carers of pupils who are entitled to free school meals and those, whose financial circumstances change in the future, continue to apply for them. The amount of funding our school receives from Leeds City Council is linked to the number of pupils who are entitled to free school meals.
Parents and carers who think that their child may be entitled to free school meals should contact Leeds Benefit Service, 2 Great George Street, Leeds Telephone: 222 4404
