Grab Bag Menu
In order to support the segregation of our bubbles we moved onto "Grab Bag" menus to continue to provide a nutritious, balanced menu with a number of daily options since June 2020. Please see below the menus for this term which will continue to July 2021. Our aim will be to return to a full service from September 2021, government guidance allowing.
Cost of School Meals and Payment Information
Since September 2014 the government has funded all schools in England to provide every child in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 with a hot, nutritious meal at lunch time. The aim is to improve academic attainment and save families money.
Pupils in KS2 are required to pay for their school meals. Dinner money for this half term for KS2 is:
£12 per week
£2.40 per day
The total price for this half term is £69.60 to cover meals from 22nd February to 1st April 2021.
Payment for school dinners needs to be paid via the SchoolComms app in advance. Please note that we no longer accept cash or cheque payments. If you are unable to pay via the app please contact the school office. Meals are then ordered for the rest of that half term so we ask you to stay on packed lunches or school meals until the following half term.
See below links for the Allergen and Food Standards information.
Due to the high number of children in the school with severe nut allergies, we are taking the precaution of banning all nuts and food items containing nuts from the school site.
We already operate a nut free kitchen but to ensure the safety of all children throughout the whole of the school day this is now to be extended to packed lunches and snacks.
Please check the contents of packaged foods you provide to your children in their packed lunches as they may contain nuts eg Nutella, some muesli bars, cakes and biscuits.
FREE SCHOOL MEALS
It is vital that all parents and carers of pupils who are entitled to free school meals and those, whose financial circumstances change in the future, continue to apply for them. The amount of funding our school receives from Leeds City Council is linked to the number of pupils who are entitled to free school meals.
Parents and carers who think that their child may be entitled to free school meals should contact Leeds Benefit Service, 2 Great George Street, Leeds Telephone: 222 4404
